Let’s Rumble
When you chance
to fight a poet know
their words will chase you
up and down the halls
they’ll be like thousands
of ball bearings
that bounce off corridor walls
they’ll give you no space
no peace
no comfort will you endure..
when you chance to rumble with a poet
it will be like you didn’t know when
to come in out of the rain
torrents of words will flood down on you
until your drenched in pain
when you chance to fight with a poet
you will fulfill his every dream
with an abundance of food for thought
he’ll tangle with many a word scheme
that will fill many a page
