Good Lord, Say It’s Not True
You were suppose to be the keepers of the gate
and faith
somehow knowing who you are
has made it worse..
you were thought to be pillars
that supported..
shoulders that could have been leaned on
somehow knowing who you are
has made it worse..
you were suppose to be the guides
to guide the unknowing to the light
to guide the artist way
the filter to help clean up
the distractions
now knowing who you are
has made it worse
for writers at least it’s the ultimate
betrayal..
You were thought to be trusted
because some times creators want
to see light
know not everything is black or gray
knowing who you are at least for a moment
has taken the light away
you were thought to be the rock on which artist could stand
the good and solid
“good lord say it’s not true”
this pen is so hurt
it won’t even allow me to out you..
because knowing who you are
has made it worse
sadly it’s unfortunate yet it’s the brutal truth
